Musings of a Wandering Soul

Please ignore the formatting, as this was part of a random facebook mesage :-= Maybe I'll fix it later.

One day there was a purple cat.
His name was Sammy. Now, Sammy is often a Dog's name, but that is moot point.
Sammy was called Sammy because that is what he was named.
This young cat was always ridiculed for being purple. He was also relatively small.
Because Sammy was small, he thought that he should learn to be really good at something because he was such a small cat.
First, he tried to excel at the German language. This was silly, because there is no German school for cats. Additionally, not many cats that he knew spoke German, so all the other cats continued to make fun of him.

Second he tried para-sailing. This was AWFUL! Sammy didn't KNOW that para-sailing involved being over a large body of water!
Sammy was tossed about forcefully until the wind suddenly stopped and he was dropped un-kindly into the cold water.

Third, Mr. Cat tried mouse-catching. He tried EVERYTHING! First, he tried a sneak attack. Then he tried spear-hunting, like you do to catch fish. Last, he tried making a trap. None of these things worked! He always had bad coordination or his contraption broke.

Sammy was SO embarrassed and disappointed each time he failed at something because there was always another kitty nearby who'd witnessed his failure and teased him.

Finally, our poor kitty hero decided he would try once more before giving up. Sammy's last chance was a trapeze/hi-wire act.
Sammy started on the high-wire and walked 3/4 of the way. THEN, Sammy pretended to lose his balance where the trapeze was waiting. He spun through the air effortlessly doing many miraculous flips and tricks! His costume cape whipped through the air making his stunts look incredibly swift! And finally, he did what he, and all cats do best: Landed on his feet with a gracious bow.
THIS time, however, he did even better than any other cat could have: he landed on his FRONT TWO FEET without any effort at all. He then skipped, on two feet, around the ring while the crowd roared their acceptance and applauded until they could clap no more.

All the other cats had shown up to make fun of him, but he had finally found somewhere to fit in: The Circus, a place where a purple kitty named Sammy could finally belong.

THE END.

There's a lot about me that I could babble, but so much more that I don't even know is there. I guess we'll figure out who I am together!
