I can hardly wait until my house feels like home. We've been in it since May of 2009 and nothing is clean, chunks of paint and wallpaper and plaster dust are everywhere, and project tools and components can still be found all over the place. I spent part of Saturday/Sunday and most of Monday doing laundry and STILL it's everywhere and I feel like it will never be done. Granted, the house has come a LONG way.... new siding, some paint, insulation, outlets, knocked out portions of wall, windows, several new appliances and some new furniture...but I feel like I've waited a long time and nothing. It is getting better. Every day I'm trying to make more of an effort to organize and not get frustrated while doing it. My home will be what I need it to be, I know it will... it's just going to take more time. I finally ordered my sewing machine, which means I will FINALLY be able to start making curtains and things that will give my home some personality other than just messy. I just want to be done. :P Oh, there is ONE good thing: There are now pathways to all doors and windows in case of a fire. Small pathways, for small people. Sorry Zach. Congratulations Khristine & Tobey.

So, I can never remember the name for those Russian Nesting Dolls, so I looked it up and have decided to blog about it. The name is "Matryoshka". Apparently some think it is called this because the name is similar to several popular female names around the time these dolls originated. Scholars say the Latin root of the word is "mater", which means "mother", and that the name is associated with the image of a portly figured peasant woman with a large family. I don't know why it seems important to me to remember the real name of the silly doll, it just is. Kind of like how I can always remember the little plastic piece at the end of a shoelace is called an "aglet". I just like that I know. The end. :)

...this animation clip. There's not a lot that I see that catches my eye enough to repost, whether it's humorous, touching, sentimental, outrageous, or whatever, but this is an exception. The first time I had the opportunity to view it was at a Dance Concert at BYU. Now, I typically don't think animation has much place in a DANCE CONCERT, but again, there are exceptions to nearly every rule.

**Not sure when this was actually written, but it's posted now because I'm finally going through my 'Drafts' posts. :P
