Okay, so in keeping with my title of Khreepy Khristine I am now using my khreepy mojo at work. We have 898 apartments, so sometimes we interact with a lot of people. Sometimes I know people's names, apartments, or identifying information without looking it up. Not usually all at once, but enough to make some people either nervous or really happy. Today's khreepy mojo was a temple recommend that someone had accidentally run through the wash. I looked at the name and immediately thought, "Hmm, that looks like a Filipino name. I bet it's so-n-so's father (Who's name I'd never heard or seen before)." I looked up the name, and it was this gal's maiden name. Somewhere else in her info. had part of this guy's name in it. I e-mailed her, and it turned out to be her father. How Khreepy Khool is that, since I'm sure there's more than one Filipino in this apartment complex?! Sometimes I freak myself out.
I will be making more of an effort to blog about the things I do. It'd be nice to have memories left in print form, rather than just emotions, since I can never seem to recall my life unless it's written down. (I don't expect a photographic memory, but really? Mine sucks. I need help :P ) Anyhow, this means I may have more menial posts, but it will result in me having some recollection of whatever the heck I've done with my life in later years.
I'm exhausted. I haven't slept well in a week or so and it's probably because of the hyperactive puppies.
My phone's ringing at work, and I REALLY wanna ignore it...but I didn't. Go me :)
Last night Zach & I rented Secretariat from Redbox. I liked it well enough. It didn't make me cry or anything, but I appreciated how they portrayed the challenges of being a strong woman in the early '70s without being feminist.
I ordered my first road bike on April 30th. It had to be ordered because I'm too short for what was in stock. Boo. I'm still waiting for it, but I'm SUPER excited! Woot! I REALLY need to start biking to work. I'm getting too pudgy and have no excuse for such a travesty. Anyhow, this is what the bike looks like, sans pedals. I sure hope it comes soon! I'm not super motivated to ride my mountain bike all the way up the hill that is the road to work. I'm just too wimpy for that, seeing how my bike is heavier than I am strong. Woe is me. Just kidding. :) At least with the new bike it will be light enough that I will be able to lift it, if necessary, without wanting to fall over!
I completely forgot to blog about our new puppy dog! On May 1, 2011 Zach & I officially adopted a new puppy dog. He is 6 yrs. old and kind of hard to take an expressive photograph of, because he is all black. Over the past few days he has proven himself to be so much like Tobey! They will have cute little face-offs where they both stare at the wall while standing in the same position (same foot lifted and all!) Growling at each other exactly the same way while shifting their little eyes to stare at the other over their shoulder. They run the same, they both follow me around the house and are (sorry, Hun) sort of scared of Zach the same. They also have facial structures which appear quite similar while also being close in size. His name on Sunday was Razz. By Monday morning it had become Ninja. It just so happens that Ninja is the perfect name for him! He's always slinking around slipping underneath a blanket or sneaking into the bathroom without me noticing. I can always hear when Tobey sneaks in. The only reason I even know Ninja does it is because, get this: Tobey tells on him! They're almost like real kids.

Life with two puppy dogs can really be different. I have to get up earlier to get them both out in the morning. They kind of run around at night but not on the same schedules. There are also twice as many paws to step on if I'm not careful.. But that's okay, I'll keep them both! And did I mention that Ninja really likes laying in Zach's clothes and on his side of the bed. Oh, and you know how Tobey's crate is called his "dungeon"? Well, we've decided that Ninja's crate will be his "dojo". We'll see if the term takes. Anyhow, enjoy the pictures!
I have trouble dealing with people who are easily offended. I just don't know how to put them at ease, and I not sure if it's because I don't know how to or I feel like it's not worth the effort. It's not that I don't care if I offend people. I never set out trying to make people upset or to act maliciously towards others with the purpose of putting them on edge. However, there seems to be something about me that can set people off sometimes. Granted, it's probably not just me, but I never quite know how to respond sometimes. There are people that you can reassure and placate until you're blue, and they don't live or think in a way so as to gain understanding that there is either a) No cause to take offense, or b) That nothing negative was intended by the offending interaction. It is almost as though some people just don't want to be happy with their lives and those around them. It's more than simply needing something to complain about once in a while, or even all the time. Maybe it is the need to feel like people should cater to you because you're the underdog. I have no clue.
I just don't understand why some people prefer to remain at odds with those around them, even when they are told that they are cared for, or that they are welcome, or that they are hearing a general statement not directed to them to single them out but to everyone around, including myself, which is simply being shared at a certain time and place as it will be shared with everyone else involved when it can be shared as the whole group is never together at one time. Maybe there are those who have a bad reaction to me because I present my thoughts poorly. Maybe I need a self-help book.
We all feel the way we feel, and react to situations differently than those around us. I cannot begin to say that other people are completely wrong, or that they're dumb to feel the way they do. People are allowed to be sensitive, or to care about the way they're treated and spoken to, and they should care about how others interact with them. Interactions are a huge part of our lives and how we perceive our happiness therein. However, I feel like some individuals don't ever try to deal appropriately with those around them. I feel like those people only feel like others need to deal appropriately with them without making half an effort in the direction of others. Is it too much to ask for a slight attempt at understanding what someone really means before becoming furious with them for what they say? We should say what we mean the first time, but how many people are really efficient at doing that? Shouldn't we just assume that we need to give people a little leeway with the things they say to us and how we say them? Or am I wrong? I might be wrong. It does happen once in a while. ^_~
Personally, I can choose to take something offensively or not. Some things to which I am truly in my right to be offended about just don't offend me. I simply want to be happy and to maintain love for those in my life, and taking offense doesn't forward those goals. I know that sometimes people don't mean the cruel things they say, and even if they do sometimes facts are just that: facts. I know there are things in life or our personalities over which we feel little control, such as depression... but why should I be required to coddle people who don't even make an effort (as proved by their constant state of being at odds with those in the world around them, not simply just with myself) to understand me and how I communicate? I do try to help people to see that I find no fault in them through my words. I try with my actions, as well, even though I have less ability in that realm--but I make a conscious effort to help those around me understand that I appreciate them, that when I give direction I am not trying to find fault but simply improve the environment in the best way possible, and that they have value. Again, I'm TOTALLY NOT PERFECT... But after years of trying to overcome my own selfishness and self-centered attitude, am I still really that bad? For example, when I say specifically, "I'm telling this to everyone, and reminding myself in the process, so please don't feel singled out. I'm not singling you out." How can I put things better? Life just doesn't make sense sometimes. Human beings don't make sense sometimes.
There are days when I'm not happy, or when things people do or say just get under my skin. I'm working to find a place inside myself, again, that remembers that some people are like me: not always completely competent communicatively speaking. Do I give people a fair shot before becoming angry or frustrated with them? Sometimes I think I do, and other days not so much... But I hope I'm not simply running around in angry mode all of the time...
I do have a desire for the lives of others to go smoothly and for people to feel validated, but sometimes... I just don't know if I should have to put in all the effort if responses will be negative. That's the selfish bone showing itself again! Eh, I suppose things will go on as they always have, with those who require more beating to reach the point of being offended being the closest to me and remaining that way for the longest periods of time. That's what happens when you're emotionally high maintenance, right? :)
I will miss my hair. I like to play with it, and I enjoy the added femininity that it offers when I actually choose to fix it. I like that I can usually go days without washing it. It is enjoyable to contort it into many different shapes and designs. I will miss the way the sun shines through my hair and makes it GLOW. I will miss the way that my long hair just...falls.
It has been fun having long hair. However, there will definitely be things that I will not miss:
I will not miss the more easily clogged drains.
I will not miss having my hair caught in people's armpits when I give hugs.
I will not miss my hair falling out and getting stuck in my shirt making me itch while I'm wearing it or having it embedded in the fabric of my clothes during the cleaning process.
I will not miss the risk of getting it caught when I use the paper shredder or cutter at work.
I will be excited to have less rats hanging out at the ends and bottom layer of my hair.
I will be be glad over the money that I will save in the form of shampoo and conditioner costs.
I will enjoy the fact that the puppy will probably stop trying to eat it while it is attached to my head.
I won't be sad for the headaches to go away because there will no longer be a large weight on one spot of my head if my hair is in a bun.

I've decided that starting today I will be taking more photographs. Sometimes I'll facebook stalk (not really stalking because they're legitimate friends who don't mind me looking) people's photos and their lives look amazing! I want to be able to look back at my memories through photos and feel like I've had a beautiful and full life. I want to have visual memories that I can share with my children and grandchildren and have them know how much I love(d) life! Thanks for all those who've taken most of the picture memories that I have, since I've rarely taken my own! I couldn't remember my life the way it's been without you!
